150th ANNIVERSARY OF ITALIAN UNIFICATION NEARLY FORTY ITALIAN FLAGS TO WELCOME OUR PASSANGERS
Verona, 17th March 2011 – Nearly forty tricolor flags have been displayed along the Departure and Arrival Terminals at Verona Airports to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italian Unification.
In our airport, like in other 21 airports in Italy, passengers have been given celebrative cards promoted by ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) with the aim to remind them of the value of Unity for our country. President Fabio Bortolazzi has greeted Italian and foreign passengers, airport employers and Authorities with a mention to our pride to be Italian thanks to the extraordinary and versatile wealth of our Country. “Airports are among the most important access ways to our country. By celebrating this anniversary, we also wish to remind all those who are in transit in our airport today, how nice it is to be Italian. This should be the first message foreign travelers receive on their arrival. With the same spirit we wish to welcome all Italian passengers, and particularly the millions of Italians that are living abroad and flying back to Italy because they are proud to be Italian, just like all of us”.
