New appointments at Garda Lake Airports
Umberto Solimeno has been appointed commercial director by the board of directors of Valerio Catullo of Verona Villafranca company.
He replaces Enrico Pizzini, who will take the responsibility of operations director of the Verona Villafranca and Brescia Montichiari airports.
Mauro Marrocu, chairman of the Garda Lake Airports, commented the appointments as follows: With the new arrival of Umberto Solimeno and the promotion of Enrico Pizzini the management team of Verona and Brescia airports receives a new impulse to reach the challenging objectives for development fixed by the board of directors in the 2002-2007 industrial plan.
Umberto Solimeno, 39 years old, married, two children, has a degree in Business Administration with specialization in Tourism and Marketing, obtained at the Naples University. He has a twenty years experience in tourism: two years in Cigahotels Group in Milan, nine years in Klm and four years in Air Littoral as Italy Country Manager.
For one year he worked in National Jet, franchisee of British Airways as sales and marketing director.
At the beginning of 2001 he went to Volare Group
as marketing director
Enrico Pizzini, 48 years old, married, began his career as sales director in Emery Air Freight in Florence and for 20 yers worked in British Airways in higher and higher operational roles. He has been working in Verona Valerio Catullo company since 1999. He covered the roles of operations director, division director and commercial director.
