AIRPORT DAY AT CATULLO: OPERATION TRANSPARENT TARIFFS AND PRIZE-GIVING FOR THE WINNERS OF “MARTURI PER VOLARE”
Tomorrow, 4th April, a special day will take place at the Catullo airport: the Airport Day. All passengers, as well as all visitors who would like to participate, can experience the airport in an unusual way.
Assaeroporti, the association of Confindustria representing Italian airports, together with C.N.C.U., the National Council of Consumers and Users of the Ministry of Economic Development, has promoted the first information campaign to give details of the different costs (against which airport services) the passengers have to bear when they buy their air tickets. The campaign also includes a working committee where Assaeroporti, the Associations of Comsumers, ENAC and ENAV will meet in order to create a new passenger service charter.
Information desks will be available at the Catullo airport and explanatory booklets will be distributed to passengers. In cooperation with Ristop small refreshments will be offered to passengers and visitors.
However, this is not the only event of the day. At 15:30 on the first ground of the departure terminal the prize-giving ceremony will take place for the winners of the competition Maturi per Volare (mature for flying). The airports of Verona and Brescia have offered 50 ticket vouchers for Ryanair destinations available from the two airports: Frankfurt and Bremen from Catullo, London and Barcelona from D’Annunzio. Special guest for this free access event is Francesco Testi, the participant from Verona of Grande Fratello 7 (Big Brother 7).
Thanks to the cooperation with ENAC, National Agency for Civil Aviation, ENAV, Italian Agency for Flight Assistance, and with the Movable Support Unit for the Catullo Control Tower management, the competition winners may visit the airport “back-stage” and control tower.
Furthermore, the Italian Youth Hostels Organization, A.I.G., will offer the winners the membership card for 2007 allowing them to make their reservations to youth hostels worldwide.
The airport invites you all to attend the event!
