From next Saturday a new opportunity will be available for the snow-minded living far from the ski runs: flying straight to Trentino Alto Adige for a ski holiday or a ski weekend. The new Fly Ski Shuttle will soon be operative from Verona airport Valerio Catullo: a shuttle service will take skiers every Saturday – from 15th December to 5th April, including Wednesday 26th December and 2nd January - to the most beautiful ski runs of the region. Ski destinations are Val di Fassa from Moena to Canazei, Val di Fiemme with Cavalese, Val di Sole to Marilleva and Folgarida, Tonale, Paganella, Folgaria, Bondone, and also Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio can be reached with connections arranged by the local Apt (Tourism Promotion Agency). The shuttle schedule has been arranged respecting the coincidence time with the flights landing in Verona, so that passengers can be comfortably taken to the mountains – leaving at 18 for Paganella and Tonale, and at 13,30 and at 18 for all other destinations. For those arriving from London, Frankfurt or Catania, it will be as easy as ever to reach the ski runs in just a few hours. There is no idea to arrange complicated car transfers by car, as a hostess will welcome the passengers at the arrival to the airport and lead them to the shuttle transfer. Main Italian towns, which are directly connected with Verona are Rome, Ancona, Palermo, Naples, Bari, Catania, Cagliari, Lamezia Terme, Olbia. As an example, if you are leaving from Palermo at 15.50 on Saturday with Meridiana flight, after landing at 17.20 in Verona, you can easily take the 18 shuttle and arrive at 22.30 in your hotel in Canazei, or at 20.30 in Molveno or Cavalese, or even at 20 in the nearest Folgaria. One-way fare costs 15 Euros per person, the return ticket costs 25 Euros. The shuttle service is promoted by Trentino Spa, by Tourism Promotion Agencies of the destination towns and by Catullo airport; information can be reached on as well as by calling 0461-391111.
