AIR ITALY, EXCELLENT TAKE OFF TO EUROPEAND NEW FLIGHT FROM VERONA TO NAPLES

- From 10th September 2007 two daily connections to Naples will be opened -

Three weeks after its debut as scheduled air carrier to European destinations, Air Italy has proved to be extremely regular and punctual.

Verona, 21st June 2006 – The take off is a key moment: talking out of metaphors we can easily state that for Air Italy – first a charter air carrier and from 1st June also operating from Verona as scheduled air carrier – it couldn’t have been better. The registered flight completion rate of the first three weeks have was indeed higher then expected.

The data recorded on the whole during the first three weeks of operation are yet a good reference for the launch of the new winter connection. This time the game is played at home and the destination served by Air Italy with two daily routes from Verona is Naples. Clear clues coming form the Verona area have lead to the choice of the Neapolitan city as first domestic destination. Flight scheduling has been studied both for business travellers and for holiday passengers, particularly for those interested in skiing activities. The morning flight will operate from Monday to Saturday, while the evening connection will run also on Sunday in order to facilitate week-end returns.

Air Italy results as a scheduled air carrier are an extremely positive sign reinforcing the decisionto confirm all routes launched last June 1st – Barcelona, Berlin, London, Madrid, Prague, Sofia and Warsaw – also for next winter, starting from 10th September 2007 to March 2008.

This excellent debut also allows a positive outline for the first year: a higher load factor then the expected 55% rate according to the development plan. If, on the one hand, the outstanding results gained with the routes to Spain are not a surprise - direct flights to Barcelona and Madrid are now fully operative with an average of 80 passengers per flight - the mainly business connection Verona-Sofia, with a 30% regular outbound and inbound traffic flow, is on the other hand the evidence of the traffic growth that can be expected with business tourism, as well as the confirmation of the successful choice of East-European destinations.

Another significant result to point out is related to the inbound traffic rate. Air Italy potential catchment area includes some 60.000.000 Europeans as a whole.

The rapid feedback gained from destinations such as Warsaw, with a 45% average load factor and the highest return flight reservation number in relation with frequency, is a clear proof that this was the right moment to establish new point to point air connections in the Verona area.

The weekly frequency and winter timetable for scheduled flights to European destinations – above all Warsaw, Prague and London – have also been carefully planned in order to encourage the incoming snow tourism. Week-end and long week-end routes also play a key role in the airline offer. As for business connections, the weekday flight Verona-London has been studied for those who travel on business trips for their best time capitalisation: thanks to Air Italy scheduled times, they can spend just one night abroad and pass two full days in the City.

Along with the good performance of traditional airlines – continued Cavalleri – which gained a 43% growth during the first months of the year, the budget airlines market is now covering 35% of Verona air traffic and 78% of Brescia air traffic. The interesting rate of over 74% was recorded for low cost traffic at Catullo from the beginning of 2007 to the end of May (passing from 60 to over 100 thousand passengers per month). A further traffic increase is then expected for the summer, as already forecasted from the first week-end of June”.
