TAXI ON APRON
Taxi on the apron is subject to mandatory follow me escort:
On arrival
Aircrafts on arrival will be escorted by follow me car to parking stands.
On departure
Flight crew are required to have the follow me in sight before commencing any taxi manoeuvre; the aircraft will be escorted by follow me car until the designated holding position on the apron.
PARKING STANDS
Parking stands are arranged by the Airport Operator, depending on the duration of stay, type of aircraft and any eventual specific security and safety requirement.
Pushback and towing may sometimes be required to avoid jet-blast damage.
AIRCRAFTS ON PARKING STAND
While parked, aircrafts must be properly chocked (2 chocks on nose gear, if applicable, during short stay; 2 additional chocks on left main gear during longer stays or on presence of strong winds). Airport Operator will provide chocks if needed. In addition, cones will be placed around the aircrafts.
WALKING ON APRON
Walking on the apron is subject to specific Airport Operator regulations. As a general rules, passengers can be boarded/unborded if escorted by Airport Operator or Handler personnel, which will apply all the needed safety measures. Flight crew are allowed to walk if wearing high visibility suits and only on the apron vehicle/pedestrian roads. Crossing taxilanes is strictly forbidden.
SAFETY UNIT
The Airport Operator has a Safety Unit operating H24. For any advice, request or report concerning the airport safety ask to the ramp agent who will get you in contact with them.
