BLUE PANORAMA AIRLINES RELAUNCHES CARIBBEAN DESTINATIONS FROM VERONA

Excellent results for the first year of operation of flights to Cuba, Mexico and the Dominican Republic

Rome, 29 November 2011

Cooperation continues between Blue Panorama Airlines and the Verona Airport, which considers the carrier a strategic partner for the long range leisure demand based on its leadership position in the Caribbean area. A consolidated and successful cooperation of the flights from Verona to Cancun, Havana and Santo Domingo, which also extends to Blue Panorama Airlines partner tour operators.

As Giancarlo Zeni, Blue Panorama Airlines General Manager emphasises: "We are proud to be back for the second time at Verona to present our winter programme. In the first year of operations the results which were obtained went well beyond our expectations with a flight fill rate of 90% and the number of passengers transported from the Veronese airport at about 10,000 for the December 2010-March 2011 and July-August 2011 period."

Blue Panorama Airlines, in cooperation with its general agent, Distal & Itr Group, during 2011 further strengthened its portfolio of connections from Italy to the Caribbean, confirming the destinations of Cuba, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Antigua and Jamaica for the winter season, also adding Colombia with the fabulous destination of Cartagena.

"We are here with our tour operator partners Alpitour, Condor, Eden Viaggi, Havanatour, Phone and go, Swan Tour, Un Altro Sole and Veratour - states Zeni - to reconfirm the connections from Verona to Havana, Cancun and La Romana with news of improvements in the Havana-Cancun product which, from 25 December, Christmas day, will operate on Sunday instead of Thursday. Our tour operators, assisted by Distal, will ensure distribution in the agency market of both the Havana-Cancun and La Romana flight, as well as the relative tourist packages".

"Our expectations for the long range leisure destinations, like those presented this evening for Santo Domingo, Havana and Cancun, are quite significant because our analysis and the carrier information indicates an appreciation for this type of offer in our basin – concluded Paolo Arena, President of Catullo Spa - We are working to continue strengthening partnerships with leading airlines in the sector in order to make an increasingly wide and diversified offer available in the territory."

Blue Panorama Airlines also announces that for Cuban passengers flying on the Verona-Havana flight a 64 kilogram baggage exemption will be applied. Specifically, each bag may not exceed 32 kilograms in order to meet the needs of Cuban citizens who live and work in Italy.

In addition to the tour operators service, as an airline designated for countries served from Verona, Blue Panorama Airlines offers the availability for sale of the Havana-Cancun and La Romana flights to passengers via the corporate network and on the web. The flights are also operated for incoming and outgoing cargo traffic, providing the availability of goods transport between Verona and the served destinations.
