The new airline BELLE AIR EUROPE announced today its flight schedule for the winter season that will connect Verona Airport to Skopje, Prishtina and Tirana. Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, will be a new destination available from Catullo airport, while the routes to Prishtina and Tirana, which are already operated from Verona, will be gradually intensified in order to have a daily frequency, that for Tirana will be available from 13th December. The flight to Prishtina will be operated three times weekly starting from 20th December.

Belle Air Europe connections will intensify trade and business relations to and from the airport area, also opening a new prospective for tourism and production investments. Skopje was rated by trade magazines as one of the favorite places in Europe for possible investments and has a growing rate around 4% (source ICE- Italian Institute for Foreign Trade).

Attending at the presentation of the new flying schedule Maurizio Dalla Pietà, Belle Air Europe President and Massimo Schirato, Belle Air Europe Sales Manager, who commented: “Given the positive results of our existing routes from Verona, we are happy to announce the new connection to Skopje and to intensify the flight frequency to Tirana and Prishtina soon after three months from the operation starting.”

While presenting the airline representatives a plaque with the airport symbol carved in the Verona marble, Verona Airport President Fabio Bortolazzi spoke: “We are satisfied with the performance registered by the airline operations from our terminal. The destinations offered are highly interesting for business flyers from our area. Figures show that Italian exports to Macedonia have significantly increased in recent years with an annual growth around 30% and an increase (according to ISTAT) that is definitely higher than in the other Balkan countries, reaching 383 Million dollar in 2008. For this reason we wish to expand the routes available from our airport to these areas”.

Return tickets (including taxes) will be offered starting from a special price of € 39.

Belle Air Europe is an Italian Company established in July 2009 that was born from an industrial project with the intention to create a regional domestic market and an international market. The airline has its base at Ancona Airport and in the first development phase will use new aircrafts ATR72-500 of last generation and also Airbus A319 aircrafts in the following phase (within the end of the year).

With the mission to serve the Balkan area, Belle Air Europe aims to connect many Italian and European cities to Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Croatia and in the future also to Greece and Turkey.

Belle Air Europe has invested in:

• management staff with great experience in International Civil Aviation;
• use of factory-new aircrafts, equipped with the latest systems of Air Navigation Control and with Engines that have low consumption and low CO2 emissions, in compliance with environmental regulations;
• Highly experienced Flight crew, Captains and Co-pilots

The project is a concrete answer to a transportation request that has been increasing in recent years, also due to a strong business and ethnical interest for the Balkan area.

The new flights that from today are connecting Verona airport to important destinations will expand the existing network and further enhance air-traffic to and from Verona.
