Catullo has almost obtained the licence
for Verona and Brescia airports
Today the Italian Ministry of Defence, together with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Economy, has introduced a decree transforming Brescia Montichiari from a military to a civil airport.
Furthermore, according to the said decree, ENAV will directly take care of air traffic assistance services for Brescia airport.
This decree, which has been obtained after a long period of approach between Catullo and the Ministry of Defence and Transport in order to define the airport grounds area for Brescia Montichiari, is a fundamental step towards the achievement of the forty-year licence for Verona and Brescia airports.
Until today, the mainly military character of Montichiari airport was indeed making the licence procedure more difficult.
The President Cavalleri is fully satisfied with this result and would like to thank all those who have contributed to the status modification achievement: Pierluigi Angeli, Vice President of Catullo, all Shareholders and particularly Lorenzo Dellai, President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and the local Members of Parliament.
This provision is actually the acknowledgement of all efforts made by Catullo to enhance its infrastructures and complete its development, which is now even more encouraging.
