Public Awareness Campaign ENAC North East Airport Management and Catullo Spa,
at the Verona Airport, assisting passengers with security checks
during days of greatest traffic.
Verona, 17 December 2015 - From 15 December to 15 January, during the Christmas holiday period and coinciding with the time of the greatest passenger concentration, on the advice of ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority), the managing company Catullo intensifies information to users regarding objects not allowed as hand baggage. This same initiative has been activated in other airports in the North-East, Venice and Treviso airports. The objective is two-fold: speed up operations at security check points with a reduction in waiting time and limit the number of articles that passengers must check that are not allowed on board.
The public awareness campaign is being promoted by ENAC at a national level. At the Verona Airport, during check-in, passengers will be given a brochure that concisely and effectively summarizes useful information for preparing for security checkpoints. The same indications will be given through audio announcements every 30 minutes.
