Adria Airways and Verona Airport present Pristina-Verona connection

Verona, 13 March 2012 - Adria Airways and Verona Airport present the new route Pristina-Verona. The flight, that started on 28 January, operates twice a week,  Tuesday and Saturday. The flight will use an Airbus A319 with 135 seats.

With the numerous political, economic and press representatives from Kosovo and Slovenia, on the maiden flight  from Pristina to Verona for the opening ceremony, further to Chairman and CEO of Adria Airways, Klemen Bostjancic, the Minister of Infrastructure of Kosovo Fehmi Mujota, the Minister of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia in Rome Boris Antonolic, Italian Ambassador in Kosovo Michael Giffoni.

Guests were welcomed at  Verona airport by Pierluigi Angeli, Vice President of Verona Airport and, on behalf of the Board of Directors, Ennio Meneghelli and Hermes Martini. On behalf of the City of Verona, there was the Councillor for Culture and Tourism Erminia Perbellini.

The company regularly operates 190 flights a week to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Belgrade, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Manchester, Moscow, Monaco Munich, Podgorica, Pristina, Sarajevo, Skopje, Tirana, Vienna and Zurich. Verona is the first Italian airport in which the Company decided to operate.

"I am very pleased with the opening of this new route, which I hope will get excellent feedback from citizens of Kosovo and Italy,"  President and CEO of Adria Airways, Klemen Bostjancic said at the opening ceremony of the flight.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Kosovo Fehmi Mujota added: "Adria Airways is one of the fastest growing airlines in Pristina, thanks to the high standard of quality and service that is capable to offer."

Verona Airport Vice President, Pierluigi Angeli concluded: "The new flight Pristina - Verona transported about 2,500 passengers in three weeks of operation , with fill factors equal to 81.6%. We are pleased to have Jat Airways as a new partner of our airport and we believe that alliances with new qualified partners are essential to the airport and to the  region's growth. "
