Air Moldova maiden flight to Catullo: the connection Verona – Chisinau kicks off
Verona, 5 June 2012 - Last night, the first flight of Air Moldova, the National Airline of Moldova has landed to Catullo Airport. It will regularly connect Chisinau and Verona four times a week. The passengers and crew have been welcomed by a delegation of the Airport and have been greeted with a pack of sweet puff pastry from Villafranca, a typical product of the area.
Given the original plan consisting of three flights a week, due to high demand, the airline decided to increase the flights on the route Chisinau-Verona-Chisinau to four times a week.
Therefore, since yesterday you can fly from Verona, with Airbus A320, with a frequency of three times a week, Monday, Thursday and Sunday, according to the following schedule:
Flight 9U885 departure from Chisinau at 18:40, arrival in Verona at 19:30 - local time
Flight 9U886 departure from Verona at 20:20, arrival in Chisinau at 23:30 - local time
and starting from 27.06.2012 with a frequency of four times a week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday on Airbus 320 and Embraer 190.
The one-way ticket price starts from 97 euro, taxes included.
Air Moldova airline currently operates 22 direct flights to Frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Istanbul, Antalya, Lisbon, Madrid, London, Athens, Larnaca, Rome, Milan, Verona, Venice, Bologna, Paris, Dublin, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Surgut and Kiev.
On February 17, 2012, Air Moldova was awarded the Diploma of the Intergovernmental Aviation (IAC) "for achievements in the aviation safety field."
