ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) informs that starting from tomorrow, Thursday 19th March, 36 main Italian airports, including Verona and Brescia, will distribute 125.000 copies of the new Charter of Passenger’s Rights.
The VI edition if the Charter has a new graphic and renovated stile and contents. A part from representing a practical guide for air travellers, it also contains all recent European regulations concerning the rights of the disabled, safety and surveillance norms and the transportation of liquids in the cabin. A new section is also dedicated to “Transparent Rates”, a legend explaining all the elements that make the final cost of an air-ticket.
The Charter will be distributed by ENAC’s officers in cooperation with the airports managing companies.
Besides the distribution of this new Charter, ENAC also supported another initiative with the aim to further spread the knowledge and consciousness of passengers protection. On March 19th and the following days an informative video will be displayed on airport’s screens, about passengers rights, assistance and instructions on complaints for air travellers.
ENAC’s President Vito Riggio and General Director Silvano Manera will meet the press at Roma Fiumicino airport Terminal A - Sala Blu, at 12:00 on Thursday 19 March, to illustrate both initiatives.
Also attending at the Press Conference Alitalia’s are Managing Director Rocco Sabelli, Blue Panorama’s President Franco Pecci and AdR-Aeroporti’s President Fabrizio Palenzona.
